Meet Paul Krueger
Founder & Executive Director, The Rise Project
Paul Krueger is a lifelong advocate for students and families, with over 30 years of experience in education, youth mentorship, trauma-informed care, and nonprofit leadership. As the founder of The Rise Project, Paul brings a uniquely personal and deeply compassionate approach to helping young people overcome challenges, rediscover purpose, and rise into their full potential.
A devoted husband of over 25 years and father of three, Paul understands firsthand the highs and lows of parenting through real-world challenges. Two of his children are collegiate student-athletes, and one is pursuing a commission in the U.S. Army — giving him a broad, lived understanding of what it means to raise strong, purpose-driven young adults. His love for families isn't just professional — it's personal.
Paul’s journey has taken him far beyond the classroom. He has served as a Deputy Chaplain for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for two decades, walking alongside families in crisis and offering calm, compassionate support when it mattered most. His work has extended into international nonprofit leadership, partnering with outreach organizations across the U.S. and abroad to serve marginalized youth through music, sports, and faith-based initiatives. He has helped build programs that bring hope to students in underserved communities from California to the U.K.
Academically, Paul holds a Master of Arts in Teaching. He has also completed a wide range of specialized trainings in trauma-informed care, adolescent development, and leadership coaching.
What sets Paul apart is his ability to see the whole student — not just their academics, but their emotional, social, and spiritual development. He founded The Rise Project to bring together his life’s work under one roof: a place where students can be understood, challenged, and supported… and where families can find the partnership they’ve been looking for.
